Dr. White has great skill in many other cosmetic procedures as well, such as facelifts, eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty), breast augmentation, and tummy tucks (abdominoplasty). He has treated patients from all over the world, has received numerous medical accolades, and has published and lectured on various plastic surgery topics around the country. He most recently published a book chapter in an international atlas on facelift surgery and a manuscript on new techniques for revision breast augmentation. He now brings his skills and surgical expertise to help people achieve their cosmetic and reconstructive goals in South Florida.
Dr. White, Plastic Surgeon – Achievement & Expertise
Dr. White has always been passionate about art and science. He began his studies at Columbia University in New York, where he obtained a broad education in classical art, humanities, and engineering. This culminated with a magna cum laude degree in biomedical engineering. This engineering background became quite useful at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of when he began to investigate and publish regarding new surgical technologies. Inspired by mentors, he chose to pursue a career in Otolaryngology-Head, Neck, & Facial Plastic Surgery (ENT).
He was awarded a prestigious spot to train at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he developed special expertise in facial reconstruction, facial rejuvenation, and rhinoplasty. During this period, which ended with a year as chief resident, he also published extensively on facial cosmetic surgery. He received an award and notable media attention for his biomechanical evaluation of facelift techniques.
To further and broaden his expertise, he then completed a second residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the world famous Cleveland Clinic Florida. Here he learned the latest advanced techniques in cosmetic breast surgery, minimally invasive/small scar surgery, and body contouring while further honing his facial rejuvenation skills. Dr. White also published a book chapter on facelift surgery along with manuscripts on revision cosmetic breast surgery and other topics. During his training, he enjoyed traveling to Central America to help provide facial reconstructive surgery care to less fortunate children.
Dr. White’s combined expertise in engineering, art and plastic surgery will continue to allow him to innovate and serve his patients well. “I strive to use state-of-the-art ideas with minimally invasive approaches to help patients achieve their natural appearing cosmetic goals while minimizing downtime,” says Dr White.
